The photo is not flattering, but it definitely shows the Big Gulp in all it's glory. This was taken at our Inner Harbor Baltimore condo, where even though the ranges are Viking, the girl inside the unit drinks water out of a Big Gulp.
This is my Big Gulp. It holds 100 oz of any type of liquid you can imagine. Me, I drink water out of it. You can ensure that you're set with filling it to the brim with ice and water for days. On long road trips, as long as you don't mind pulling off into a bathroom somewhere in the middle of Pennsylvania, it's a definite plus.
My father-in-law bought this for my mother-in-law. My mother-in-law loves drinking water as much as I do, and my father-in-law bought it for her as a passive-aggressive gift so that she wouldn't keep asking him to refill her water. I ask my husband (her son) to refill my water all the time as well, so I guess the curse was carried to the next generation.
Immediately when I saw the Big Gulp, I loved it. I took an immediate liking to it, as I knew it would satisfy all of my hydration dreams. My mother-in-law let me keep the Big Gulp, seeing as to how much I liked it. The Big Gulp and I have been inseparable since. Yes, it's bulky, but I take it everywhere with me. If I have to be in a place for over 24 hours, you can be rest assured that the Big Gulp will come with me.
To answer some burning questions, I'm sure everyone has, and that I have gotten whenever people see Big Gulp, no, I do not fill it with anything besides water. I filled it with green tea once and my bladder and kidneys did not thank me for that. I remember sending a photo of it to my best friend when I first acquired it and his response (he's the king of Dr. Pepper) was "oh those things are great! And if you bring them to 7-11, you get 50 cent refills all day!" To which I was like hold up...you drink THAT much soda to where you had to bring this thing back to 7-11 for refillSSSSS, meaning refills PLURAL?
But anyway, in a nutshell, I love this thing and it never leaves my side. I consider it a key tool that has helped me climb the ladder to success (okay, not really) but I drink out of it when I'm happy, I drink out of it when I'm sad, I have it by my side at most mealtimes, I drink out if it when I feel my liquid level is going down. I really can't live without it and that's probably why I chose to express myself and my feelings towards it.
